📌 How the Syllabus Is Built
The CTET syllabus is smaller than most aspirants fear. The content level is only up to Class 8 NCERT — what makes CTET distinctive is that every subject includes pedagogy questions: not just "what is a fraction?" but "how should a teacher handle a child who struggles with fractions?" 🎯 Where to Focus First
Not all syllabus areas deserve equal time. CDP concepts repeat across both papers and inside every subject's pedagogy questions — master it first and you effectively prepare 40% of the exam at once. Languages together carry the single largest weight (60 marks), and comprehension passages are the most improvable skill with daily practice. Content subjects (Maths, EVS, Science, SST) are NCERT Class 1–8 level — revise the concepts, but give equal attention to the pedagogy half of each section, because that is where unprepared aspirants silently lose marks.
