CTET Exam: Sunday, 6 September 2026 — offline (pen & paper), both papers on the same day. Paper 2 in the morning shift, Paper 1 in the evening shift, as per CBSE's usual schedule. Everything else in your preparation calendar counts backwards from this day.

🧭 What To Do at Each Stage
Knowing the dates is half the story — knowing what to do at each milestone is what keeps you stress-free. Here's your stage-by-stage action plan:

- Exam city slip (early August): CBSE first releases a city intimation slip telling you which city your centre is in — this is NOT the admit card. Use it to plan travel and accommodation if your city is far.
- Admit card release (late August): Download it immediately, check every detail (name, photo, paper, subject choice, centre address), and report any error to CBSE right away. Take 2 printouts and keep a digital copy.
- Exam day (6 September): Reach the centre well before reporting time with your admit card and original photo ID. Read our exam-day tips the night before.
- Provisional answer key (mid-late September): Match your responses and calculate your expected score with our score calculator. If you find a genuinely wrong answer in the key, file an objection within the window (a fee per challenged question applies, refunded if your objection is accepted).
- Result (October): Check on ctet.nic.in with your roll number. If you qualify, your lifetime-valid certificate appears on DigiLocker soon after — no physical certificate is mailed.

From early July, you have roughly two months to exam day. That is genuinely enough time for a focused aspirant — many successful candidates prepare seriously in exactly this window. A sensible split: spend July covering the syllabus and understanding concepts (especially CDP, which carries weight in both papers), then use August for intensive practice, previous-year papers and timed mock attempts.
